Why this exists
When an antisemitic incident is reported, it is almost always covered as
fact. Less often covered is what happens when the story turns out to be
fabricated as it often is — the initial reporting stays online, the correction appears
lower down, some big outlets even refuse to issue corrections or updates,
and the record reads as though the incident happened. Which leads to the false
understanding that antisemitism is more prevalent than it actually is,
playing on to the Zionist narratives.
This is an incomplete compiled list of known cases of antisemitic incidents
in mostly Western countries where the original claim was later refuted,
revealed to be faked or found to be self-inflicted.
Each entry records the original claim, the later correction, and links to both
the reporting that carried the claim and the reporting that corrected it if available.
The record is not comprehensive, but it is a start.
Who compiled it
Compiled and maintained by Sid
with the help of contributors who submit new cases and corrections.
Corrections, submissions, and suggestions are welcome.
A note on the record numbers
Each incident on the main page is prefixed with a “ SN. ”
followed by a number. That number is the record's serial number
— the SN primary key in the underlying database.
If you reference incident “SN. 4”, anyone with the database can find the same
row by querying SELECT * FROM Incidents WHERE SN = 4;.
To find its sources query SELECT * FROM Sources WHERE incidentsSN = 4;.
It is not a chronological index by default in the page.
The records are sorted by date on the main page,
so the visible order may differ from the numbering.
Submitting a record
The record is maintained locally by the administrator,
and there is no way to interact with the database directly from this website.
If you have a correction to suggest, send me an email or twitter dm with the
SN. of the record and the details of the correction. If you have a new incident to submit,
There are two ways:
In plain text
Send me an email or twitter dm with the following information:
- Incident — date of incident or original reporting, country,
summary of the original claim as it was reported,
and summary of the later reveal or correction.
- Sources — Links to News reporting on the incident,
Classification of the source as Original Source, Reveal Source or Neutral source.
Source type are Original (reporting when the incident
was first claimed), Reveal (reporting when the truth or correction came out),
or Neutral (both information came out at the same time, so there is no
separate original/reveal reporting, or the original reports are missing
but the later reports point to there being original reports that is no longer available).
Using the submission page
If you'd rather make the job easy for me, use the
→ submission page ←
from which you can fill all the information required for a new submission —
it generates a link that you can email me or dm me on twitter. I will then add it to the record.
This method is preferred as it ensures that all the required information is provided and formatted correctly.
I can also verify the sources more easily if they are submitted through the submission page.
The submission is not automatic and the link needs to be manually emailed to me,
either using “COPY TO CLIPBOARD” or by clicking the “MAIL TO ADMIN”
button on the submission page But it ensures that all the information is provided and formatted correctly.
The link will be very long, please email the whole link without breakage.
